Others’ Needs – Twos are disconnected from their own needs and spend a lot of energy attending to other peoples’ needs.
Tasks/Goals – Threes are human doings trying to get us to like them by achieving things.
The Longed-For Ideal – Fours sense that the world is not as good as it used to be.
Intrusion – Fives step back from the world and observe to gather the information.
Dangers – Sixes are more aware than the rest of us of the potential dangers in the world.
Multiple Options – Sevens try not to pay attention to the dangers of the present by thinking about the future and all of the experiences that they could have there.
Power – Eights are very aware of anyone or anything that might be able to control them making sure that they maintain their autonomy by controlling it first.
Others’ Positions – Nines don’t want to be controlled and so make sure that they have a really good understanding of other people; they like to avoid conflict at any cost.
Correctness – Ones have an internal sense of what is right and what is wrong; if they follow the strictures of that map they will maintain their autonomy. |
