The Four Legs Model

The Four Legs Of NLP

Outcome – Do you know what you want?
Most people know what they don’t want and fill their
minds with it leaving no space to pay attention to what
they do want. You need to answer this question in the
positive.

Sensory Awareness – Do you know what you are
getting? Noticing how and what you are thinking
and feeling will enable you to change your inner
experience making it more useful to you; this will
affect your body language and tone of voice. Also,
paying attention to others’ body language and tone
of voice will give you much more information about
what they might be thinking and feeling.

Flexibility – Are you willing to do something different?
We are creatures of habit and in times of stress tend
to revert back to old patterns and behaviours; the
irony is that these are the very times when we need to
be flexible. Developing flexibility is one of the best ways
to change our lives and become more effective.

Take Action – What are you going to do and when?
All of the above will stay in the mind unless we take
action, massive action. If what you are doing isn’t
working, do something else.
